The opening ceremony will start with a Parade of Athletes and continue with honoring our veterans, special guest appearances, entertainment, and fireworks. The competition is open to everyone and with limited on-site registration available. Marquette will give you the crunch of snow with every step, fill your lungs with fresh air, and the familiar feeling of what winter should look like.

MEIJER STATE GAMES OF MICHIGAN OPENS REGISTRATION FOR WINTER GAMES
The upper and lower peninsula events will be held Feb.10-12, and Feb.17-19, 2023. These sporting events are open to all ages and ability levels. The traditional winter sports festival will feature 19 sporting events at 21 venues. The Winter Games opening ceremony presented by Northern Michigan University will be held in Marquette, MI at the Marquette Mountain Resort on Friday, February 10.
Meijer State Games of Michigan Announces 2022 Athletes of the Year
Officials with the Meijer State Games of Michigan revealed the 2022 Athletes of the Year as well as the 2022 Volunteer of the Year presented by Lake Michigan Credit Union. The four categories for the Athlete of the Year award are adult male, adult female, youth male, and youth female. The following names are the award recipients.
NOVACARE REHABILITATION TO PROVIDE SPORTS MEDICAL COVERAGE AT THE UPCOMING SUMMER GAMES
Officials with the Michigan Sports Alliance announced that a 3-year partnership with NovaCare Rehabilitation was organized to aid with the Meijer State Games of Michigan medical coverage. NovaCare Rehabilitation will be known as the exclusive and official provider of sports medicine for the upcoming Grand Rapids area-based Summer Games sporting events.
