Winter Games in Marquette

We’re excited to be back in Marquette for a fourth year!

The Marquette Winter Games weekend will kick off with an Opening Ceremony Friday night! All athletes and spectators are invited to attend.

Sports will continue to take place in the Grand Rapids area for the 2025 Winter Games.

After successfully hosting a northern Michigan hub of the Meijer State Games - Winter Games in Marquette for the past two years, the State Games of Michigan (SGOM) has tapped the nonprofit Great Lakes Sports Commission (GLSC) to act on its behalf as official host of the northern Michigan hub of the Winter Games in Marquette starting in 2024.

MEIJER STATE GAMES OF MICHIGAN WINTER GAMES OPENING CEREMONY DETAILS RELEASED

The opening ceremony for the 2023 Meijer State Games of Michigan – Winter Games is just over two weeks away. The opening ceremony will take place at the Marquette Mountain Resort (4501 M-553, Marquette, MI 49855) on February 10th starting at 7:00 p.m. This event is free to the public.
