Sprint your way through the snow and race to the finish in our Snowshoe event during the inaugural 2022 Winter Games! This event welcomes all athletes and will feature participants from Special Olympics Michigan! All participants are also welcome to attend our Opening Ceremony at Marquette Mountain. ELIGIBILITY
Michigan, Minnesota, Indiana, Illinois, Ohio, Wisconsin*, and Canadian athletes are welcome to participate at the Marquette Winter Games.
EVENT HOST
This event will be co-hosted and ran by Special Olympics Michigan! Our long-standing partner will have athletes at multiple events, including snowshoeing. We look forward to seeing their athletes compete and joining us at the Meijer State Games of Michigan! All proceeds from this event will be going towards Special Olympics Michigan.

The Special Olympics races will include 25m, 50m, 100m, and 200m distances.

OPENING CEREMONY
Join us as we officially kick off the inaugural Winter Games in Marquette on Friday, February 25 at the Marquette Mountain Resort.
All athletes are welcome to attend and join the athlete parade. Opening Ceremony in Marquette is sponsored by Northern Michigan University.
