Ski Jumping
The Ski Jumping event has been cancelled due to extreme snowfall amounts. This event is postponed and will be an inter Ishpeming Ski Club competition.
Get ready to slide down Suicide Ski Hill at our Ski Jumping event during the inaugural 2022 Winter Games in Marquette! Suicide Ski Hill is one of the best ski jumping hills in the country! This Olympic-style event welcomes athletes from across the Midwest and will also include an Opening Ceremony. Check out the information below for Ski Jumping, and we look forward to seeing you there!

ELIGIBILITY
Michigan, Minnesota, Indiana, Illinois, Ohio, Wisconsin*, and Canadian athletes are welcome to participate at the Marquette Winter Games.
*If you are a Wisconsin athlete looking to compete in hockey, figure skating, cross country skiing, or ski jumping, please email Julie at jshields@stategamesofmichigan.com prior to registering to get permission from the Badger State Games to participate.
EVENT HOST
Ishpeming Ski Club was founded in January of 1887 and was originally named the Norden Ski Club before being changed to Ishpeming Ski Club in 1901. Due to the long history and ongoing spirit of the skiing community in the area, Ishpeming was made the host city for the U.S. National Ski and Snowboard Hall of Fame. The Ski Clubs mission is to put on quality competitions while also directing efforts towards youth in the surrounding area, including all youth and junior ski programs provided free of charge. The Ishpeming Ski Club is known to have some of the best ski hills in the country!

OPENING CEREMONY
Join us as we officially kick off the inaugural Winter Games in Marquette on Friday, February 25 at the Marquette Mountain Resort.
All athletes are welcome to attend and join the athlete parade. Opening Ceremony in Marquette is sponsored by Northern Michigan University.
