Get ready to hit the slopes at Marquette Mountain for our Ski and Snowboard event during the 2023 Winter Games! This Olympic-style event welcomes athletes from across the Midwest and will also include an Opening Ceremony. ELIGIBILITY
Michigan, Minnesota, Indiana, Illinois, Ohio, Wisconsin, and Canadian athletes are welcome to participate at the Marquette Winter Games.

Saturday, February 11th:
8:00 AM - Onsite Registration Opens
9:00 AM - Lift Opens
9:15 AM - Onsite Registration Closes for Slalom
9:30 AM - Course opens for inspection
10:00 AM - Slalom on Nastar
12:30 PM - Onsite Registration Closes for Boarder-Cross/Ski
1:00 PM - Boarder-Cross/Ski on Renegade
3:30 PM - Onsite Registration Closes for Slopestyle

Sunday, February 12th:

NOTE: Course will be slipped, re-dressed and/or re-set after run one. Course will then immediately be open for inspection. 30-minute inspection time followed by Run 2 start. (announcements will be made over the loudspeaker with time specifics).

LIFT TICKETS
Participants must purchase a lift ticket for Marquette Mountain to compete. Tickets can be purchased here, or be purchased onsite.
FORMAT
Rail Jam - As many runs as you can complete in 30 minutes
Slopestyle - 2 runs per rider
Slalom / Giant Slalom- Timed event; bibs will be assigned
Boarder-Cross / Ski - Heat event; top times advance

AWARDS
Slalom, Giant Slalom, Boarder-Cross/Ski, and Slopestyle
Medals will be awarded for first, second, and third place in each division and for male/female.
Rail Jam
12 & under, 13-15, and 16-17
Giveaways and medals will be awarded for first, second, and third place and for both male/female.
18+
Cash prizes* and medals will be awarded for first, second, and third place and for both male/female.

Cold Is Cool Program
MSIA Cold is Cool Passport allows Fourth and Fifth Graders to Ski All Winter Long in Michigan! Families can obtain a Cold is Cool Ski & Ride Passport App for their 4th and/or 5th graders that gives them up to three free lift tickets or trail passes at 29 participating ski areas, plus additional discounts on the slopes and in Michigan ski shops. MSIA charges $30 for the passport; $25 covers operating expenses and $5 goes to MIsnow, a new charitable organization that helps get underprivileged kids out on our slopes & trails in the winter. MIsnow also works to preserve the strong cultural past of Michigan skiing and protect its future with sustainability education.

Join us as we officially kick off the Winter Games in Marquette on Friday, February 10 at the Marquette Mountain Resort.
All athletes are welcome to attend and join the athlete parade. Opening Ceremony in Marquette is sponsored by Northern Michigan University.
