At the Governor’s Fitness Awards, the Meijer State Games of Michigan was awarded ‘Outstanding Event'. The event is put on by the Michigan Fitness Foundation and was held virtually on August 20.
The Meijer State Games of Michigan would not be ‘outstanding’ without our athletes, coaches, volunteers, corporate partners, sport directors and supporters!

2020 Summer Games Update
Michigan has moved into phase 4 of the plan to re-open the state. With this promising news we have begun to reschedule Summer Games events that are safe to hold. We appreciate everyone’s patience while we navigate through all the event changes. While the Summer Games will look a little different than previous years, we look forward to seeing you this Summer.
Meijer State Games launches Virtual Games
Grand Rapids, Mich., May. 28, 2020 ─ Meijer State Game of Michigan will be hosting its first Virtual Games starting now through June 30. Anyone is eligible to participate in the inaugural Virtual Games. The sporting events featured are running, cycling, BMX, fishing, golfing, rowing, skateboarding, and tae kwon do.

Blue Cross Blue Shield: To help communities inform their residents about the coronavirus, we’ve developed a tool kit that is filled with online resources that you can use to provide direction for those in need. It provides comprehensive information about COVID-19 symptoms, prevention and protection. It also has a multitude of other resources for the public to fulfill other needs that arise during this time of need. Some of these resources include food relief, health and wellness and mental health assistance.
Keeping Your Kids Safe Online During COVID-19
The COVID-19 pandemic has brought life to a screeching halt, particularly in the sports community. Competitions, practices, and in-person training sessions have been cancelled or postponed. While athletic teams are benched, many coaches are taking advantage of online tools to keep athletes engaged and at peak performance.
Update on the 2020 Summer Games
As we continue to get more and more data on the COVID-19 pandemic, there will be changes to the 2020 Summer Games including the postponement of the USA Masters Games to 2021 and the cancellation of Opening Ceremony. We are still planning on holding the 2020 Summer Games and are hopeful the events can still take place at the end of June.
