Michigan Sports Alliance to host inaugural Grand Rapids Comic Con 5K & Kids Fun Run
ONLINE REGISTRATION STILL OPEN; ONSITE REGISTRATION AVAILABLE
Grand Rapids, Mich., Nov. 10, 2021 ─ The inaugural Grand Rapids Comic Con 5K & Kids Fun Run will be held this Sunday, November 14th at Riverside Park (2001 Monroe Ave, Grand Rapids, MI 49501). The Kids Fun Run will begin at 9:00 AM with the 5K starting shortly after around 9:40 AM. All participants are encouraged to dress up as their favorite character and channel their inner running hero.
Online registration (https://michigansportsalliance.org/comic-con-5k) is still available until November 11th at 11:59 PM. Onsite registration will be available as well.
Pricing for each event is as follows:
Kids Fun Run (ages 4-12)
$20 from 10/11 - 11/11
$25 onsite 11/14
5K (all ages)
$45 from 10/11 - 11/11
$50 onsite 11/14
Virtual 5K
$40 until 11/11
Registered participants will receive a custom bib, finisher medal (first 500 registered) and shirt (as supplies last). fairlife will provide Core Power samples for those in attendance as well. Grand Rapids Comic Con attendees receive a special discount of $5 off using the code “grcomiccon” at checkout.
A Star Trek cosplay club, Starfleet, as well as a GI Joe cosplay club, The Finest, is scheduled to have club members in costume at the finish line for photos with anyone who may be interested.
