Tae Kwon Do

7:30 AM - Athlete Registration and Spectators Admission
8:30 AM - Volunteer and Referee Check In
8:45 AM - Athletes Line-up
8:55 AM - Grandmasters, Junior Grandmasters, Senior Masters, and Masters on stage
9:00 AM - Opening Remarks, National Anthem, and Prayer
9:30 AM - Competition Begins with Board Breaking and Black Belt 14-17 & 18+ Forms
12:00 PM - 1:00 PM - Lunch
1:00 PM - Sparring competition begins

*New for 2024: The gold medalist from each 14-17 years or 18+ years age division/bracket will be moved on to compete for their respective Junior Grand Champion or Grand Champion competitions in forms. Awards for both male and female will be awarded in this category!

COMPETITION RULES

EVENT DETAILS

  • All Michigan Tae Kwon Do competitors are welcome.

  • Competitors from outside the state are welcome IF they do not have a State Games program locally that includes Tae Kwon Do. Please contact Master Lemon Williams at Master_Lemon_Williams@outlook.com for questions on eligibility.

  • Training for officials will be available to any participating organization's blackbelts prior to the event.

  • Age determination date is day of competition.

  • Concessions will be available.

REQUIRED EQUIPMENT

This tournament will be utilizing the Daedo Electronic Scoring System. With that, certain equipment is required.

  • Rental socks: $10

  • New Gen II socks: $110

  • Pre-order: $90

Note: Competitors need to bring their own Sparring Headgear, Shin Guards, Forearm Guards, Mouth Guard, Groin Cup (Males Required)

ADMISSIONS

  • Child (6-17): $3.00

  • Adults: $5.00

  • Ages 5 and under - Free

  • Max of $16 per family

All admissions are cash only.

AWARDS

One gold, one silver, and two bronze medals will be awarded for each event and division.

One Junior Grand Champion will be awarded for the 14-17 male and female divisions and one Grand Champion will be awarded for the 18+ male and female divisions.
