COVID-19 Updates
Summer Games: Ongoing concerns surrounding COVID-19 will affect each event differently. Any updates that occur to this event will be posted to this page. Registered athletes will be contacted about any changes that may occur.
Update as of 5/27/20: Due to the ongoing threat of COVID-19, the Meijer State Games has made the decision to reschedule the Swimming event. We are working with our sport directors to find the best alternative date for this event. We ask for your patience as we work through this process.
Update as of 7/31/20: Due to complications with COVID-19, the Meijer State Games and Swimming Committee have decided to cancel the 2020 Swim Meet. While we were optimistic the event would happen, this decision was made with the best interests of the athletes, coaches, referees, volunteers and spectators in mind. Registered individuals will be receiving an email regarding next steps and we look forward to seeing everyone in 2021!

The Meijer State Games of Michigan – Summer Games Youth Swimming Meet is an Approved meet. Approved meet is an authorized meet pursuant to Article 202.4 of the USA Swimming Rules where both USA swimming athlete members and non USA Swimming athlete participants may compete

AGE GROUPS
Age on June 27, 2020 determines his/ her age for the entire meet.
8 & Under, 9-10, 11-12, 13-14, 15-18, and 19-20.
TIMES
Warm up: 7:30 am
Meet start: 9:00 am
EVENTS
- Freestyle (25yd [8 & Under only], 50yd, 100yd, 200yd, 400yd)
- I.M (100yd, 200 [15-20 only])
- Butterfly (25yd [8 & Under only], 50yd, 100yd)
- Backstroke (25yd [8 & Under only], 50yd, 100yd)
- Breaststroke (25yd [8 & Under only], 50yd, 100yd)
FEES AND EVENTS
Registration into the Swimming includes free admission into Opening Ceremony for athletes.
Individual Entry: (Plus $3.00 online convenience fees)

RULES
The Meijer State Games of Michigan Swimming event will be governed by USA Swimming rules.
Swimmers will be limited to a maximum of 4 individual events per day.
Deck entries will be allowed up to 45 minutes prior to the start of the session, at the discretion of the meet referee and meet director.
Individual events medals: for 1st-3rd.
Awards
Meijer State Games of Michigan medals will be awarded for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place in individual events.

STATE GAMES OF AMERICA
This event is a qualifying event for the 2022 State Games of America. Any athletes who place 1st, 2nd, or 3rd has the opportunity to compete in the 2022 State Games of America hosted in Ames/Des Moines, Iowa.
