Pre-registration: $45 for the first event and $5 for each additional event
June 10th: $50 for the first event and $5 for each additional event
Registration closes June 18th
Onsite Registration Available at $55 for the first event and $5 each additional event
FORMAT
The Meijer State Games of Michigan Open Karate Championships will be open to all styles and schools within the state of Michigan and surrounding states.
DIVISIONS
Categories: Forms, Weapons, and Sparring
Experience:
You must compete at the highest rank you have achieved in any system or highest division you have competed in (unless such competition was necessitated by a combining of divisions).
Novice - Possible belt colors; white, orange, yellow, purple. Possible kyu/gup ranks 10, 9, 8 and 7. Training 0 - 1 years
Intermediate - Possible belt colors; green, purple. Possible kyu/gup ranks 6, 5, and 4. Training 2 - 3 years
Advance - Possible belt colors; red, brown (black if there is not a separate black belt division). Possible kyu/gup ranks 3, 2 and 1. Training 3+ years.

$5 - 5 years old and up

Judges are asked to wear a uniform if judging

Gold, silver, and bronze medals will be awarded for each division and gender.

OPENING CEREMONY
Join us as we kick off the 2025 Summer Games at the Meijer Sports Complex on Friday, June 20th with our Opening Ceremony celebration.
All athletes are welcome to attend and join the athlete parade.

This event is a qualifying event for the 2026 State Games of America. Any athletes who place 1st, 2nd, or 3rd has the opportunity to compete in the 2026 State Games of America hosted in Happy Valley, PA.
