Archery - FITA

Schedule

Schedule is subject to change:
8:30 am: Check-in will begin
9:00 am: Equipment check
10:00 am: Practice ends begin with line time starting immediately (72 arrows total for score)

  • A lunch break of approximately 30 minutes will take place each day.

  • An awards ceremony will take place upon receipt of all score sheets and compilation of scores on Sunday.

DIVISIONS

AS OF THE DAY OF THE SHOOT

  • Cub: ages 11 years and Under

  • Youth: ages 12 - 14 years

  • Young Adults: ages 15 - 17 years

  • Adult: ages 18 - 49 years

  • Seniors: 50+ years

FORMAT

Distance is determined based on your age on the day you are shooting. Distances are as follows:

  • Freestyle Recurve

    • Seniors: 70M, 122cm Face

    • Adults: 70M, 122cm Face

    • Young Adult: 60M, 122cm Face

    • Youth: 50M, 122cm Face

    • Cub: 30M, 122cm Face

  • Compound, Bowhunter Freestyle

    • Seniors: 50M, 80cm 6-Ring Face

    • Adults: 50M, 80cm 6-Ring Face

    • Young Adult: 50M, 80cm 6-Ring Face

    • Youth: 30M, 80cm 6-Ring Face

    • Cub: 25M, 80cm 6-Ring Face

  • Barebow, Traditional

    • Seniors: 50M, 122cm Face

    • Adults: 50M, 122cm Face

    • Young Adult: 50M, 122cm Face

    • Youth: 30M, 122cm Face

    • Cub: 30M, 122cm Face

FEES

Pre-registration fees:

  • Cub, Youth, and Young Adult Divisions - $20

  • Adult and Senior - $30

Registration closes June 16th, 2025

Please note there will no onsite registration.

SHOOTING RULES

This event will be a non-sanctioned event and will follow NFAA Rules and USA Archery dress code.  We will shoot one 720 Round (AKA “Olympic Round). This will consist of 12 ends of 6 arrows for a total of 72 arrows. There will be no live scoring.

Membership is not required to participate.

2 Practice Ends:

  • 4-minute time limit for each end.

  • If you are assigned to shoot bottom, you will always shoot 1st until 1/2 and then you will move from bottom to the top, and the top will move to the bottom.

  • You will not need to make you arrow holes. You can if you choose to, as long as you do not hold up the line.

No sky-drawing. Non-archers (including coaches and parents) are not allowed down-range without specific permission from the Tournament Director.

For Para archers, if an advocate is needed, or you will be providing an advocate, please note that on the registration form. Keep in mind: the archer will remain at the line (or under an umbrella or tent for sun/rain protection) during scoring if they have an advocate.

There will be concessions available during the 2025 event.

OVERVIEW

The West Michigan Archery Center (WMAC) is an archery education and practice center, focused on introducing people to the sport of archery, and on developing fundamental and advanced archery skills for archers in West Michigan and beyond. The event will take place at the West Michigan Archery Center in Rockford, Michigan. Archers will register with all available info noted (age class, bow type, Para type, etc.).

STATE GAMES OF AMERICA

This event is a qualifying event for the 2024 State Games of America. Any athletes who place 1st, 2nd, or 3rd has the opportunity to compete in the 2026 State Games of America hosted in Happy Valley, PA.
