 T-Shirt Contest

Calling all Michigan designers and artists! Now is your chance to design the 2021 Meijer State Games of Michigan t-shirt. The shirt will be sold during the Winter and Summer Games. The contest is open to all Michigan residents and there is no entry fee to participate.

Parents! Let your kid design our next shirt.

Download and print out the blank t-shirt outline and let your kid design the 2021 athlete shirt.

  • Open to all Michigan residents

  • Deadline for entries: November 16 at 5:00 pm ET

  • Voting takes place: November 17 to November 23

  • No entry fee to participate

  • Individuals can submit multiple designs

Design:

  • Must fit on standard t-shirt (option: download blank t-shirt outline)

  • Design will be screen printed on a t-shirt

  • A maximum of 3 colors may be used (solid colors – no gradients). We reserve the right to recolor artwork as needed for printing purposes

    • Hand drawn designs may be re-created in order to be screen printer. Both the original and edited design will be displayed for voting.

  • “Meijer State Games of Michigan” or the Meijer State Games logo must be incorporated into design (logo cannot be altered other than changing colors).

  • Artwork must be saved high resolution, and if possible vector format (EPS, AI, PDF), but can be submitted in low resolution JPEG.

  • Design must be submitted with designers last name in title (ex: smith_image.jpeg)The creation must never have been published, and does not contain profanity, trademarks, logos, or copyrighted works of any other person or business outside of the Meijer State Games of Michigan.

  • Anyone can submit a design. Individuals under the age of 18 must have a parent/guardians permission to submit a design.

Voting

  • The top designs will be posted to the Meijer State Games of Michigan Facebook, Twitter and Instagram for voting. Likes/reactions to the design will count as votes.

  • The top designs will be selected by the Meijer State Games of Michigan staff. We reserve the right to pick any number of entries, include additional artwork for voting options or end the contest if no viable designs were submitted.

  • Meijer State Games of Michigan staff reserves the right to alter designs after voting for printing purposes.

Prize

The individual that submits the winning design will receive a free t-shirt with their design printed on it and recognition on the Meijer State Games of Michigan website and social channels.

Submissions

Designs can be emailed to info@stategamesofmichigan.com or uploaded to Dropbox.

Retention of designs: The entries become the exclusive property of the Meijer State Games of Michigan and will not be returned to entrants. The Meijer State Games of Michigan has exclusive rights to the reproduction of winning design and the submitting artists relinquish all rights to such design. All proceeds from the sale of T-Shirts will go toward supporting the Meijer State Games of Michigan Winter and Summer Games.

Publicity and Agreement: Entering this contest constitutes an agreement by the submitting artists to relinquish all copyrights of the submitted works to the Meijer State Games of Michigan.
