Meijer State Games of Michigan 2013 Photo Contest Winners

The winners from the 2013 Meijer State Games of Michigan Photo Contest have been announced. Winning first place in the Opening Ceremonies category was Rebecca Humes. Winning first place in the Sports Action category was Lonna Blair. Click here to see the winning submissions. The Meijer State Games, the signature event of the West Michigan Sports Commission, was held June 21-23, 2013, at various locations across the Grand Rapids, Mich., area. 34 sports were offered this year. Eight Wrestlers Sweep all 3 Styles in their Age Category at Meijer State Games

Eight athletes swept their age categories by taking gold in all three wrestling styles- folkstyle, freestyle, and Greco Roman in this year’s Meijer State Games of Michigan Wrestling tournament. With the accomplishment of taking gold in all three styles they earn the honor as a Triple Crown winner. A family affair: Skrycki clan shares love of competing in throws during Meijer State Games of Michigan
