Fatbike GRR Race Series Update - January 22, 2014

Only two races left in best of four series Grand Rapids, Mich., January 22, 2014 – After this past weekend, only two races remain in the Fatbike GRR Series, and the competition in this winter event is starting to heat up. In a series where the best four of six races count towards each racer’s total, time is running out to pedal to the top of the leaderboard. New Sports Additions to the 2014 Summer Games

Opening Ceremonies Will Take Place at Fifth Third Ballpark Grand Rapids, Mich., Jan. 15, 2014 – The Meijer State Games of Michigan released details today that six new sports will be added to the upcoming 2014 Summer Games. The Summer Games will take place June 20-22, 2014. The Summer Games will offer 39 sports with the new additions and are expected to host over 7,000 athletes. Meijer Winter Games to offer unusual sporting gems for spectators

With opening ceremonies a month away, marketing for the event is in full gear, Eric Engelbarts, executive director for the games said. "We're focusing on creating awareness," Engelbarts said. Fatbike GRR Race Series Under Way

This past weekend the Meijer State Games of Michigan / Fatbike GRR Race Series completed its second of six races. Averaging around forty participants, the series leaderboard is starting to take shape. The race series is divided into four divisions, A - advanced, B - fun, Female and a DUO division. Leading the advanced division this week was Dan Jansen who came in first place followed by Nate Versluis and Steve Bartzen respectively.
