The State Games of Michigan embody the values of participation, sportsmanship and healthy living among residents of Michigan. The Games have become one of the most celebrated and anticipated events in Michigan for many youth, adults, seniors, coaches, parents, officials, volunteer and spectators.†
The State Games of Michigan will offer an opportunity for low-income athletes to take part in the games at no charge. The average entry fee is $25, and a team registration is $250.00. Every dollar raised through the - Adopt An Athlete Fund - will help remove financial barriers and help Michigan residents to participate regardless of age, ability level or financial status.
Thanks to rising needs in our state, the adopt an athlete fund needs a big boost. In response, we're asking you to consider adopting one or more athletes with a donation to the State Games of Michigan. All $25 donors will be recognized in the State Games of Michigan opening ceremonies program and listed below. Those who donate $250 or more will get a special invitation to the VIP reception at the Summer Games opening ceremony and receive a special gift from the State Games of Michigan. All donors will receive a custom link to secure their - Adopt An Athlete - badge (pictured above) that can be displayed on your website, social media pages or anywhere that you would like to share the message of your giving.
You can make your donation online or by sending a check with 'Adopt An Athlete' in the memo to the State Games of Michigan (171 Monroe Avenue NW, Suite 545, Grand Rapids, MI 49503). We strongly encourage you to pass this note on to your contacts, letting them know that you're taking part in the program and indicating how many athletes you are supporting.
The Adopt An Athlete Fund was made possible from the generous donation made by Olympian Judi Brown Clarke. Mrs. Clarke is an inspiration to our participants and elite athletes across the state of Michigan. Mrs. Clarke currently serves as the President of the U.S Olympians & Paralympianís Michigan Chapter and is a five-time National Champion and silver medalist in the 1984 Olympic Games in Los Angeles, California.
Our goal is to raise enough money to cover 1000 athletes,
so please help if you can. Thank You!!
